What are lash extensions?

Lash extensions are a technique used by certified artists whom applies a synthetic/man-made lash to the natural lash. It enhances curliness, volume, and length through a variety of lash styles. Technicians apply the lash about 2mm above the lash line with a semi permanent bonder to about 80-100% of your natural lashes. They are applied using specifically designed tweezers. There are a variety of styles like classic, hybrid, volume, cat eye, doll eye, and many more depending what the individual desires!

How long is the lash extension process?

A fulls set lash extension appointment can take from 1.5-2.5 hours long depending on every individuals natural eye shape and lash health.

How long do extensions last?

Lash extensions can last roughly between 5-6 weeks! Depending on the person some people may need/want fills every 2-4 weeks. Many things can negatively affect the retention of your lashes like natural lash sheds, makeup, humidity, oil, sleeping on them, rubbing or picking at them! In order to help your retention last longer use lash shampoo daily and give yourself a lash bath (you can purchase from your lash tech), get fills frequently, refrain from oily products near your eyes and picking at them.

Do extensions damage your natural lashes?

No, absolutely not as long as they are applied properly. Our lash techs are trained to apply extensions in the safest way for out natural lashes. They do this by isolating each individual lash before applying an extension. This way when your natural lash falls on its own so will your lash. We are trained to only use width and lengths that your natural lashes can healthily hold, this means if you want a certain style that will be too heavy for your lashes we may turn down your request and offer something lighter and safer. So please make sure to listen to your lash techs advice as they want what's best for your lashes!

Can I swim/shower with lash extensions?

Yes absolutely! Thats the best thing about lash extensions, you can shower, swim wake up and still have lovely lash extensions! We always recommend waiting 24 hours from your appointment to do so just to ensure the bonding process. Aside from that we encourage washing your lashes as keeping them clean promotes retention and avoids infections. After your lashes get wet we recommend brushing them to separate the lashes from sticking to one another and if desired you can blow dry them (keep the blow dryer 2 feet away from your face) and brush them to regain fluffiness and volume!

How should I prepare for my appointment?

To prepare for your lash appointment come in with no makeup on, especially around the eye area. Make sure you have removed any left over mascara and take out contacts if you wear them. Refrain from drinking coffee before your appointment as it makes us less relaxed and our eyes become more twitchy. For your comfort feel free to bring headphones and a blanket to create all time relaxation!

How do I know if I have allergies/irritation?

Please inform your lash tech if you have any allergies PRIOR to your appointment. It is important to keep your eyes relaxed and closed as opening them can let fumes enter the eye as well as other dangers. It is possible for people to build allergies over time even if they have been getting lash extensions for years. If you are concerned we recommend doing a spot test! Reach out to your lash tech and we do a free spot test which entails putting 2-4 extensions and waiting 72 hours to see if you have a reaction. This will prevent any large reactions from occurring. If any do occur go to a doctor immediately!

What is the difference between classics, hybrids & volumes?

Classic lash extensions means we bond one synthetic/man-made lash to every isolated natural lash on your eye. This creates a natural look! Volume lash extensions means we bond fans (a cluster of 4-8 lashes with a thinner diameter) to every individual isolated lash. This creates a fuller look! Hybrid lash extensions is a mix of both classic and volume lashes, it creates a wispy look. Mega Volume lash extensions means fans are bonded (a cluster of 8-12 lashes with a winner diameter) to every individual lash! Keep in mind not everyone can do this look depending on their natural lash health! Reach out to your lash tech for information on gaining healthier natural lashes so you can obtain this if you can't.

What is Lash Lift and Tint? How long does it last?

Lash Lift and tints are a 4 step process where we lift your natural lashes semi permanently with two solutions, then a darker dye, and finish it off with nourishing oil. It lasts about 4-6 weeks!

What is the after care of Lash Lifts and Tints?

Opposite to lash extensions, lash lifts and tints require you to nourish them with oil! It keeps your lashes from drying out from the solutions we use to perm them. Its important to not get them wet for 24 hours. Afterwards you are welcome to wear makeup/mascara etc.

What is brow tinting?

This is a process where the technicians apply semi-permanent dye to enhance the shape and colour of your natural brow. We use dyes depending how dark you want them to be and match it to you natural brow. This creates a fuller look!

How long does brow tints last for?

They can last up to 2-3 weeks depending on the aftercare process. If you wash and scrub your brows a lot you may prevent the tint from lasting longer!

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination is similar to a perm for your brows. It is a two step chemical process where we flatten and lengthen your natural brow hairs. This creates a fuller look by elongating your natural brow hair and perming it upwards to create that 'arch' shape. Your brows will look smoother.

How long does brow lamination last and what is the aftercare?

Brow lamination can last an average of 5-6 weeks. We recommend conditioning your brows after and refrain from scrubbing them. Daily conditioning like oils (castor oil is a good one) is good for your natural brow health. For 24 hours after your appointment no washing/ and especially scrubbing your brows to enhance the process! Refrain from sun exposure for the first 24 hours and do not apple retin A, AHA products. If irritation occurs contact a doctor immediately.

How long does brow lamination and tinting take?

A tinting appointment takes about 30 minutes! Lamination takes about 40-50 minutes!
